Are you too busy being a wife, mom, friend, sister or partner that you barely have time to yourself?

When was the last time you spent time to catch up with ”you?”

There are so many ways that we can spend time alone and the first one I would recommend is sitting quietly and listening to what the Father has to say.

Listening to the still quiet voice within is so important as this is where our spiritual

compass is.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! —Psalm 46:10

When God spoke to Elijah on Mount Horeb, He could have done so in the wind, earthquake, or fire. But He didn’t. He spoke with a “still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12). God asked, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (v.13), as he hid from Jezebel who had threatened to kill him.

In order to hear God’s voice, we must shut our ears to the world and listen from within.

How do you spend your alone time?
