So many people are walking around, struggling to balance their natural life and trying to fulfill their God-Given Purpose. It is almost like a person wearing a mask to cover up the challenges because of the shame one might feel.
What does it mean
to wear a mask?
According to Wikipedia, a mask is an object normally worn on the face, typically for protection or disguise. When a person has a mask on he is trying to hide something that needs to be protected.
There are many things in a persons life that may cause them a great deal of pain. Sometimes it feels like you want to go in a place that is hidden to never come out.
You do not want anybody to see the hurt and disappointment that you are facing at that present moment. The person tries to cover up the pain and embarrassment by wearing an imaginary mask. The person can be smiling and laughing on the outside while on the inside he is in antagonising pain.
Sometimes we hide behind ministry work and our secular careers, but at the end of the day we are screaming on the inside for help. There is life after the struggle and with prayer and trusting God there will come a time that you can remove the imaginary mask and live.
I want to encourage you by sharing a little of my testimony and pray it will bless you.
I remember serving in ministry and suddenly my whole life changed and it was very painful. It was so devastating I almost had a nervous breakdown and had suicidal thoughts. God kept me through marital trouble, major court cases for my only two sons and at the same time, health issues, termination twice , rejection from work, church, and fighting a Child Protective Service battle for my oldest granddaughter. I was lied on, talked about, discredited as a true woman of God, not to mention made a mockery of because of the trials.
I felt like Job because I had lost everything and I kept trying to encourage others while masking my own pain , because I knew that is what God required of me. Sometimes I would just go in church and get in a corner and just cry and worship uncontrollably. People misunderstood thinking I wanted attention instead of looking in the spirit realm to see I was fighting to live. There are many things I can share to let you know that God can and will take away the imaginary mask in your life.
According to Romans 12:2 the
bible clearly states –
And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I want to encourage you to allow God to remove the mask of every pain and disappointment in your life that you may fulfill your God Given Purpose.
